Bio

Born in Newport Beach and raised in Lake Forest, CA, Ben has been playing guitar since the age of 15, but his love for all kinds of music has inspired him his whole life. Ben's early admiration for such players as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and others eventually inspired Ben to try to teach himself their craft. Eventually Ben discovered the blues roots many of his favorite players had been inspired by, and discovered other blues guitar greats such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B King, Albert King, and Buddy Guy.

After sharpening up his chops in the Huntington Beach blues scene for a couple years, then forming his own blues trio "Trainwreck" (yes, before Jack Black's band of the same name!), eventually Ben's path led him to the local country music scene in 1999 and had extensive tenure in several highly successful local country-rock bands, including the Killin' Time Band, White Lightnin', and Horespower...Since then, Ben has shared the stage with some of country's greats, including John Michael Montgomery, Rascal Flatts, Tracy Byrd, Chris Ledoux, Toby Keith, Diamond Rio, Chris Cagle, Joe Nichols, Ty Herndon, Josh Gracin, David Ball, the Smokin' Armadillos, Collin Raye, and more, on stages all across the Southwest U.S.

As part of Ben's stay in the local country scene, he was able to cross paths with some of the most talented rhythm section players out there, including Darren Rottino and Kurt Sheaffer, who bring decades of their own extensive stage experience and world-class talent to the band, not to mention their sharing of passion for the same metal & progressive rock influences. The result: a super high-energy, seasoned, passionate rock experience.
